Board Meeting

March 4, 2008

Call to Order: The meeting convened at 9:00 a.m. with the following present:

Approval of Minutes: The February 19, 2008 Special Board Meeting minutes were approved.

Telecommute Agreement: The Chief Industrial Appeals Judge distributed a draft agreement. The Board Members will discuss at the status meeting on Monday. Changes should be submitted by March 11.

Facility Planning: We discussed the 6-year facility planning initiative. The Chief, Administrative Services reported that Bill Chase or Lorie Cissell will attend a workshop tomorrow. They will route the draft plan to the Board Members prior to submittal.

Division Meeting Update: The Chief Industrial Appeals Judge reported on the Dispute Resolution meetings. We discussed the Olympia security modifications. This matter is TICKED for the Chief, Administrative Services to report at the Board Members' status meeting on Monday.

New Employees: The Chief Industrial Appeals Judge reported that Brooks Salazar started on March 3 as the new receptionist in Seattle. J.E. Sullivan's last day will be between March 31 and April 4. The Chief, Administrative Services reported that Melinda Scharf will start on March 16 as the ITS5 in Information Services.

UMC: The Human Resources Manager reported on the UMC meeting.

HB 3139: We discussed the status of House Bill 3139. This matter is TICKED for the March 18 Special Board Meeting.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 9:47 a.m.
