Board Meeting

April 1, 2008

Call to Order: The meeting convened at 9:05 a.m. with the following present:

Tom Egan, Chair

Frank Fennerty, Jr., Member

Bill Chase, Financial Services Manager

Janet Whitney. Chief Industrial Appeals Judge

Jane Beaulieu, Human Resources Manager

Jay Raish, Confidential Secretary

Approval of Minutes: The March 18, 2008 Special Board Meeting minutes were approved.

HRMS Point of Contact: The Financial Services Manager reported that he is the new HRMS contact.

UMCC: The Executive Secretary reported on last week's UMCC meeting.

Seattle Office: The Financial Services Manager reported that we signed a four-year lease for the new Seattle office. This matter will be an ongoing agenda item until we move to the new location.

Personnel: The Chief Industrial Appeals Judge reported that Brian Watkins has accepted a position as an IAJ3.

New Appeals Quality Checklist: The Chief Industrial Appeals Judge reported that we are drafting a quality checklist for New Appeals.

RCW 51.52.050 Motions: We discussed the changes to RCW 51.52.050, which takes effect on June 12. This matter will be an ongoing agenda item.

Speaker for All Staff Meeting: This matter is TICKED to the April 15 Board Meeting.

Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 10:02 a.m.
